Florida Virtual School
Pearson Virtual Learning powered by Florida Virtual School (FLVS) provides our courses and curriculum. FLVS pioneered virtual learning for public schools and has won many honors and awards since their inception. In 2010, FLVS received the CODiE Awards for Best Reading/English Instructional Solution and Best Social Studies instruction, the Gold Award for Learning Impact from the IMS Global Learning Consortium, and the USDLA Award Winner for Best Practices in Distance Learning.
Curriculum meets not only Colorado State Standards but also the iNACOL (International Association for K-12 Online Learning) national teaching and learning standards for quality online programs. FLVS is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation. The FLVS core course curriculum is also approved by the NCAA Clearinghouse, and the Advanced Placement courses are approved by the AP College Board.

In addition to the courses available for our students through FLVS, students may choose to take courses through their school of residence that are not provided by our program on a space available basis. All Career Development Center courses are also open to students at SVOGA. |
